I was working with Department of Health part-time extra help. Pretty much as a lunch cook, about five hours a week.Today I was called by an office employee to be told not to come in tomorrow and that I was no longer welcome. Why you ask? There was an incident at work with a very special needs client. No supervision whatsoever for these special needs clients.I went into the back to get my supervisor only to have the door slammed in my face. Okay, what do I do now? Very distraught by the situation I called Human Resources. So much for doing my job. She speaks to me like I’m a second class citizen. Does she have any idea how mentally abusive that is?I’ve already advised my union rep and personal lawyer. I’m going to fight this tooth and nail. Just to prove how abusive and messed up management is.This is what I get for 15 bucks an hour. Also, I wasn’t even advised at any point, nor in the (recruitment ad) indicating that I would have to be a chef. Excuse me, for that I should be paid a lot more. And I cook really good, anyone at my job site will tell you that.I’m going to miss them. There is only one person who apologized to me for this matter. I’m going to miss her. She was the coolest.
