Spring has arrived and summer is just around the corner! Redwood National and State Parks is excited for what is gearing up to be a very busy summer season. Visitors from around the block and around the world will soon be flocking to the majestic redwood forests, stunning coastlines, prairies and watersheds that make up Redwood National and State Parks, now that the weather has started to warm up. The season of spring conjures images of new growth and new opportunities. We are reveling in that spirit here at Redwood with many new and exciting opportunities for celebration and community collaboration. This week, we will be celebrating the reintroduction of the California condors and the grand re-opening of the Stone Lagoon Visitor Center alongside our partners the Yurok Tribe, California State Parks, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and many more contributors to these significant milestones. #placement_573654_0_i{width:100%;max-width:550px;margin:0 auto;}var rnd = window.rnd || Math.floor(Math.random()*10e6);var pid573654 = window.pid573654 || rnd;var plc573654 = window.plc573654 || 0;var abkw = window.abkw || '';var absrc = 'https://ads.empowerlocal.co/adserve/;ID=181918;size=0x0;setID=573654;type=js;sw='+screen.width+';sh='+screen.height+';spr='+window.devicePixelRatio+';kw='+abkw+';pid='+pid573654+';place='+(plc573654++)+';rnd='+rnd+';click=CLICK_MACRO_PLACEHOLDER';var _absrc = absrc.split("type=js"); absrc = _absrc[0] + 'type=js;referrer=' + encodeURIComponent(document.location.href) + _absrc[1];document.write('');In May, we look forward to celebrating the grand opening of the Grove of Titans trail. Alongside this celebration will be the launch of a brand-new volunteer program, the Titaneers, which will be a team of trained community members who will help be the guardians and storytellers of this forest for thousands of visitors this summer. After a tumultuous two years, we know that both our local community and visitors from around the world will be seeking out the solace and healing of our mighty redwoods this summer. We look forward to creating a welcoming space for all to connect to this incredible park that surrounds our community.
